Lusatian lakes were created from open-cast lignite mines by flooding with water. They are located about 70 km from Šluknov area. Such a landscape offers water sports (water skiing, kiteboarding, windsurfing, etc.), and multiple land activities such as biking and inline skating.
The northernmost point of the Czech republic is situated in the village named Severní (meaning Northern) near the village of Lobendava in the Šluknov area with geographic coordinates of 14 ° 19 '02.3'' east longitude and 51 ° 03' 33.4'' north latitude.
